Graduate School Admission Results

Accepted with TA/RA for 20000 CAD per year

I had been rejected by the Ph.D. program and then I received an email that asked me to write a statement of whether I am still interested in studying at Columbia. I replied and got accepted earlier this Monday.

I'm worried now. Still no notification from university and are they done with admits ?

Any news from Computer Graphics? It's taking too long! (Chose the wrong season in the previous post! -_-)

To the poster below, I'm also waiting! Haven't heard anything yet. What are your stats? I only see 2 posts on here for the PhD saying they got official acceptances so I'm still praying since there were quite a few rejections already too

To the UBC poster below, I am on the same situation.

I had the interview. Some students interviewed the same day have already received their acceptance. Does Columbia send some acceptances on different dates ? Does it mean something ?

Anyone could help me decide between Dartmouth MEM and Columbia? To the post below, I was interviewed on March 1st

The latest info from Lee about they still reviewing the applications, how old is that? Did he mention that this week?

I am waiting to hear back from UBC MDS program and I am from India. I have been checking this fourm and some facebook connections. I don't know anybody with an admit yet. Lee from the admin office had mentioned mid april as the time for decisions.

Visit day is March 25. Nice email from the POI I indicated in my statement and application form. Looking forward to this visit!

To whomever still on the waitlist and still waiting: don't give up hope but also don't put too much hope on it. It's rolling based admission, I just got off waitlist today and it's been a whole month since my interview. It's a really slow process but I am sure most of you guys already have a settlement outside UBC. I am thankful and best wish for those who are still waiting.

To the post below regarding the timeline of the results - I called the department last week and they mentioned that it can be anytime between the last week of this month and April first week. As per the trend from the previous years, I can see that it comes out before April 15th. We'll have to wait and see anyway.

After months of waiting I finally got accepted today! Thanks to everyone posting news and updates, you made this waiting-time easier. God luck to everyone still waiting!
