Graduate School Admission Results

To all the admits, when did you guys have the interview?

I just asked the POI who interviewed me two weeks ago. He told me that the decision of my application had been made and the committee didn't recommend me for admission. I haven't got the official rej letter yet. But I guess it is on the way. (area: computational biology)

To the post below, last year they gave admits till 15th April. I'm also waiting for them and worried now.

For someone who asked about the UBC MDS admission, I am waiting too. They have apparently started sending out offers and will continue to do so over the next couple of weeks

Thought there were some hopes, but what I really had were only delusions.

All those who got into Columbia MS CS yesterday, when did you apply?

Looks like the Masters program has filled up now? They should be moving on to PhD apps now. I guess safe to assume rest of us are either waitlisted or rejected altogether. meh.

Have been seeing intermittent admits since march. Anyone knows if columbia is done giving out admits?

I've tried so much, including writing some emotional emails to the professors in charge of the admission committee, not to mention networking with potential supervisors in the very beginning of the application. I understand that I am not academically excellent (but still adequate), but how can they ignore the passion and ambition of a young man like this. All the replies I got are like robots, nothing human like. I even start to doubt that how inactive the education system is .

To the post below: Are you sure they said Mid-April? Most of the colleges have a April 15th Deadline though. Also, did anyone else hear anything from the department?

No email. No contact by any Professor. Is there still hope or should i consider this a rejection?
