Graduate School Admission Results

Please, those whose admission has been accepted, did you get an interview? My status still shows "In Progress" and I have not received any mail from the school since submission.

Prof I was in contact with: "I like this person's research and have worked with them before, I recommended them for acceptance ." Committee: "Nah, don't wanna."

To the columbia poster rejected for PhD but asked to submit a SOP for Masters, How do you know that you are selected ?

International Student. Good GPA. Strong research experiences.

To the UBC poster below. If you haven't received any intimation from them, then how on earth do you know that you have been waitlisted? Just because you didn't get a reject yet?

Is it possible to get a response from them on application status? I mean it says pending for 2 months.. When are they closing out all admissions? Is there a means to reach out to them? Phone number or email ID?

Didn't receive any email. Checked the portal today and there was the result.

Anxiously waiting for admission results from UBC from India. To those that received admission for F17: can you please tell me describe your profile and whether you are an international student or not?

Haven't got a response from UBC data science yet. They expected to take decisions by 30th June. Is this a bad sign? Have many people gotten an admit from this program?

I have received a mail stating that I am waitlisted. Anyone else received similar mail?

To all the posts below, interview is necessary for admission to the program. Also, I called them up yesterday and they mentioned that this year they have received a lot of applications and as a result we can expect results by late March to Mid April. They also mentioned that they are not yet done with all applications so there is still hope for interview invitations for those who havent gotten it yet

Received an email stating that I have strong profile and I am not part of first round of offers. Hence, waitlisted. Haven't heard back since then. Its been close to 4 weeks and no communication.
