Graduate School Admission Results

Anyone who was waitlisted in May and still haven't heard back? They're not even responding to emails. Any idea on when a decision will come in?

Accepted the offer by paying $1000 deposit.

I know someone who had interviewed and got accepted, but I don't think they will give admissions without skype. I had contacted my POI, and he said there is no room for you, but I did not get the rejection. I don't know what is happening. I guess we are just in the list if someone declined the admission, they have people on the list, but the probability is equal to zero. please say your fields to have an estimation.

Can't believe my eyes! Finally got accepted. Still awaiting CMU but not much expectations from that. Will be joining Columbia 99%.

To the question below about status: it appears at least last year they released in batches (judging from last year's data on this forum). Also looking at this and a similar Chinese forum, it seems everyone accepted so far has a CS/Engineering background. Perhaps adcom is organized then by center of study.

Rejected. TOEFL 111 (30 28 27 26). One under review paper. 4 years of relevant work experience. Many TA experiences. GPA of 3.48. Strong LORs.

Been Waitlisted. I know the chances are pretty low at this point. Best of Luck to everyone who got through

Any idea when Columbia starts rolling out more admits ? Saw a few admits a couple of weeks back but would really like to know if more admits are in the offing,

Anyone knows in UBC computer science program, department gives offer to applicants (and applicants can choose any advisor after their entrance to UBC) or a specific professor gives offer to them?

Looking for a master of science degree but this is better than not getting into any school, still waiting for umass, ucdavis, rutgers, osu and psu

Hi guys! Anyone who has decided to go someplace else, please decline the Columbia's offer. Some of you might be holding multiple offers and might be procrastinating in taking any decision. Now or after two months you have to take the same decision. Why not take that decision right now and do some good deed. I am sure the universe will pay you back. :)

Isnt it a roll-over based process? How can they declare all the results ( Acceptances/Rejections) at the same time ?? Havent heard from anyone about receiving any rejections either! Lets hope we get some news next week!

TTPB. No not interviewed. Are interviews mandatory for UBC or do they also float admits without interviews??
