To the poster below. EE undergrad. No reply to emails, no acceptance and no rejection. State of limbo as of now

Had 1.5 years experience plus a diploma degree in data science still got rejected.

Got generic rejection email. (315 < my gre score < 320). 1.5 yrs work experience in data-crunching and data analysis in a reputed firm, but not in ML or AI. No research papers published (probably why I got rejected). Undergrad from VIT university (B Tech Information Technology) in India

Answering the last post. I've asked the Grad Program Support from CS Department. I'm not sure if that means whitelisted or not reviewed yet. But they also said that decisions will continue to be made until the program is full, usually end of April or early May.

Still no reply, Whats taking so long :/

I have applied to MDS program. Guys, can you please advise me on the Post Study work permit. This program is only for 10 months so that means we get a work permit for only 10 months? That will be less than a year's work experience making us ineligible for certain streams of permanent residence. Has anybody got any information regarding this? Also the provincial nominee program for BC has International Post Graduate stream which doesn't require a job offer but the degree must be from pure science natural science IT computer maths stats etc. I looked at this list and found it strange that MDS program isn't listed in it though it's a math and stat program. I will appreciate any help and information!

To the UBC inquiry below. I was admitted without interview. Good luck!!! FYI: I went to UBC for undergrad and got straight A+ grades. I also got offers from MIT and CMU. Now trying to decide between MIT and UBC.

Has columbia sent any rejects or admits lately? Their acceptance rate is already pretty low. Now i'm worried if this is also gonna be a reject !!!
