Received a polite rejection email with an offer to MAPSS as well as a follow-up from the professor with whom I was hoping to work under

No interview as well

Has anyone heard back from Stanford yet?

This makes 3/6 rejections. I fully expected this as one of my recommenders was a pain to get in contact with and failed to submit letters to two schools including Cornell. Congrats to the 4 people that got in! Fingers crossed for these last three programs.

I knew this was coming -- in late Jan I learned from the director that " it's unlikely that people who haven't yet heard about an interview will be asked for one." No interviews, not surprised.

States in the email that 4 out of 178 accepted. I guess I have better chances to see an alien walking on the street than being accepted lol.

Pretty disappointed and confused because I thought this was one of my better chances, also my top choice. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Generic email from program director. The deadline for accepting or declining admission offers to funded graduate programs is April 15. Doubt anyone would reject such an offer, and they're probably admitting no more than two students this year. Two more months of useless anxiety...
