Super bummed, was really looking forward to USC

Finally got the email to check the status after refreshing for whole day :-) Strong SOP (verified with my seniors and teachers) Three strong LOR from international professors and two conference papers. Super EXCITED :-) :-)

Wow..I did not except this! 3rd Tier Uni in India, no research papers & one internship at a fintech startup.

3 research paper. 2 great project. 4 internship (1 @ FAANG). thought this was safe college. really disappointed!!!

CS undergrad from a state school, 0 publications, had 1 research project (not really research but it was a project), First GRE: 162Q 150V 5.0AW, Second GRE: 159Q 157V 5.5AW. Just realized how expensive this is gonna be.

2 Interviews, RA/TA offer

PI told me that I have been accepted and an offer letter will be sent towards the end of this week.

I received an email from USC stating that they have never seen an application like mine. Like totally, I understand most people fill out those tacky online portal applications (EW!) but I went the extra mile and printer mine out on pink glitter paper and mailed it to the AdComm. I included a link to my OF which is just videos of me coding omg don't be dirty. I am ready to bring the FUN to the CS party! Being a normy nerd is sooo 2022.
