Applied on December 14th, 2022, one day before the deadline. BA in Behavioral Neuroscience and in Sociology. 1 year of professional experience as a Data Manager. No GRE or interview. Received email notification to check my decision status on youSC at 12:45AM PST.

Pretty good GPA, 2 LORs from Uni profs, 1 LOR from Company Director, Decent SOP, No research paper, 1.5+ yrs of Job exp as SDE

ML-focused application. CS bachelors from a top IIT. 2 very good LORs from guides and an average international prof LOR. (in software) 1 internship and 8 months of current experience in Big Tech.

I didn't even apply here, just had an email in my inbox. It said UCS instead of USC but should've been a typo. They asked me to deposit 10,000 $ for booking a seat so I did. Looks like I'll be doing a masters in CS after all!

Merit scholarship status should come by April 1, if selected as candidate

I had to create an account to check my rejection letter. Also, it has been an extremely unpleasant experience interacting with USC. No communication since submitting the application back in November. I emailed the GDS a couple times and he only responded once. Although we understand you focus your energy and time on your preferred candidates, we paid just as much as those you wanted to come. We deserved to be treated equally.
