Finance, University of Maryland Global Campus TPB: I am keeping offers from BC and Indiana. I gave up UW Foster simply because of location preference (I'd like to stay in the mid or east, for personal reasons). I think Foster is a great choice as it has a great group of faculty members, and their placement has been on the rise. Hope this helps!

Art History, University Of Maryland, College Park Was sent an email to check the application portal and there was a rejection letter. No idea why it took so long. I had emailed the program director earlier in March who said I would have a decision by the end of March.

Finance, University of Maryland Global Campus TPB: Thanks for sharing information. I have sent an email to UW last week to update my status, but haven't received their response yet. I hope it's not a bad signal. I will decline my Maryland offer immediately if I have better choice. Would you mind telling me the funding package of UW-Foster? Thanks a lot!

Finance, University of Maryland Global Campus TPB: I actually declined an offer from UW Foster last week. They mentioned that they made 5 offers. So if you are on the waitlist, I think there is a high chance that you will get an offer. I haven't heard any thing from Maryland after the interview, so I'm assuming it's an implicit waitlist. I have a preference for Maryland over other programs, so it would be great if you can kindly decline your Maryland offer as soon as you had better options. Thanks!

Economics, University of Maryland Global Campus TPB: I was accepted a month ago but they were not offering any funding atm to anybody(at least it was stated that way in the letter). Boragan Aruoba sent an email late March asking if I'm still interested if offered full funding, and I replied yes. Received an email yesterday asking me to check the portal since the decision has been made, and the official letter was there. There was no info on funding in the official letter, but they mentioned the funding in the dept acceptance letter in March.

Physics, University of Maryland Global Campus Inquired about the reason so less offers were made in second round. Apparently, only couple of students actually withdrew their offer, because it wasn't compulsory to submit a 100% Yes or No by 26th March. So, only 2-3 new offers were made. I understand why people will do that, but keeping a seat on hold kind of sucks.

Economics, University of Maryland Global Campus Finally receive the official letter on the portal. Was contacted by the adcom chair last week asking if I'm still interested. No funding info on the official letter but appears to be fully funded by the letter from department in early March and communication from adcom chair.

Library Information Science, University of Maryland Global Campus First heard from the department at end of February that I had been recommended to the Grad School for admission and then got two follow up emails from program regarding admitted student information sessions etc. (one mid March and one this past Thursday). The email I received on Thursday let me know: "The Graduate School is now in the process of completing a final review of applications and emailing acceptance letters, so you should hear from them soon." This afternoon I finally received my official acceptance from the Grad School via a check portal email.
