Animation, University Of Californa, Los Angeles (UCLA) Got the email today that I was recommended for admission to the Animation MFA. I also got accepted elsewhere for Animation with a generous scholarship, so if UCLA matches it then I will change course. If not, them's the breaks I guess!

Microbiology, Immunology, And Molecular Genetics, University Of Californa, Los Angeles (UCLA) Still waiting to hear about my application. I can absolutely understand a delay in light of current events, but the problem is not knowing if there even is a delay. Like not knowing when I should hear back by, or at least a general time frame. The MIMG program has a late application deadline (April 1), so I am expecting it to take a bit of time. However, I haven't been able to gauge the time frame for a response, as there aren't applicants who are posting about it.

Animation Workshop, University Of Californa, Los Angeles (UCLA) TTPB: I haven't heard back either yet. Other people have told me that it's quite common for the dept to send out their acceptances and rejections as late as June. I'd imagine this is likely the case this year, especially with the covid situation going on. Good luck to you!

Film And Television Production/Directing, University Of Californa, Los Angeles (UCLA) Emailed them to inquire about my application and then shortly after I received an email stating a decision had been reached and to check the website for the official letter. Unfortunately I was rejected, but I will be trying again next year.

Atmospheric Sciences, University Of Californa, Los Angeles (UCLA) Attended the visit day but have yet to receive a decision as of 5/7. Attempted to rescind my application after 4/15 since I committed elsewhere but was told decisions had been made. For future applicants, it appears that they either do not have a formal wait list system, forgot to send out rejections, and/or have some serious administrative issues. Either way it's frustrating to have received no formal information before, let alone several weeks after, 4/15.

Chemical Engineering, University Of Californa, Los Angeles (UCLA) I am part of a program that UCLA normally grants application fee waivers to and my fee waiver status has been under review since December. I recently got an email, three weeks after April 15th, to check my application status. It told me that my fee waiver was denied and that I had to pay to view my application decision. Had they done this with ample time before the decision deadline I would have no problem paying but at this point it is insulting, considering myself and others have practically been ghosted by the department. It feels they are only trying to squeeze an extra $120 out of me. Good luck to the others that applied!

Geological Sciences, University Of Californa, Los Angeles (UCLA) I have waited on a notification for months, so I emailed the potential P.I. I had been talking to and asked if she had any insights. She said she was interested in working with me, but the departments funding and her own personal funding were limited due to COVID reasons and she wasn't able to take any grads this year like she had planned.

Statistics, University Of Californa, Los Angeles (UCLA) TTPB: Also have heard nothing from the department almost a month past the 4/15 deadline. It's completely disrespectful to treat applicants like this. I feel like they just stole my application fee, and I hope future applicants know to avoid throwing away their money and applying unless they are in touch with a POI.

Cinema And Media Studies, University Of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Has anyone else had any notification for this program? UCLA was one of my top picks, but I feel really disappointed in how long I've had to wait to find out, especially because I've had to make decisions about other schools during this time.

Would someone got admitted be willing to share their experience, such as how long after the official admission letter did they receive notification about funding and supervisor?Is funding guaranteed for PhD in UCLA Mechanical Engineering?
