Chemical Engineering, University Of Californa, Los Angeles (UCLA) Did not receive an email or any notification. Just logged onto the portal and found the decision there. I don't get why it took them this long honestly and they didn't even send out notifications for us to know that the decisions were posted. Worst application experience ever.

Chemical Engineering, University Of Californa, Los Angeles (UCLA) I didn't receive an email. Just checked the website randomly. Good luck to all "Thank you for applying to graduate study at UCLA. We regret to inform you that you are not being offered admission. UCLA receives many more applications than there are student places available. Each of these applications is carefully reviewed by a departmental faculty committee. In this extremely competitive environment, many talented and promising students are not recommended for admission by these committees. We understand that this decision is disappointing, and again, there are many more applications than there are places available. Inquiries about your application or the decision may be submitted in writing to Chemical Engineering, Attn: Graduate Admissions Officer, 5531 Boelter Hall Box 951592, UCLA, Los Angeles, CA 90095-1592. Please accept my best wishes for success in all your future endeavors. Sincerely, UCLA Graduate Division Diversity, Inclusion and Admissions"

Electrical And Computer Engineering, University Of Californa, Los Angeles (UCLA) To future applicants -- if you\'re on the fence about applying to UCLA, my experience was bad enough that I would suggest you... probably shouldn\'t bother. Had an interview (in-person, since I\'m in the area) in early February, and the prof I interviewed with was an hour late. Was supposed to meet the students in the lab, but couldn\'t because they were running late for their *next* commitment. Was told I would hear something towards the end of February and heard nothing. Emailed the grad program, the professor I interviewed with, and another prof I listed in my SoP for any update in the first week of April since I had to make a decision before April 15 (at this point, it was mostly just trying to confirm I was rejected), again to no reply. Got an email yesterday saying \"sorry about the delay, we forwarded your application to the master\'s committee\" and a rejection letter in the portal today (with no email notification to check). imo it\'s disrespectful to not even give applicants a timely rejection so we can at least make a totally informed decision (and I understand the circumstances, but applicants are also caught in shitty situation). UCLA\'s refusal to communicate was unique among all other institutions I interacted with and I believe generally speaks to their borderline malevolent disposition towards grad students in general (esp. in light of their refusal to grant Cost of Living Adjustments to grad students, etc)

Electrical And Computer Engineering, University Of Californa, Los Angeles (UCLA) Considering how they're one of the earlier app deadlines (December), to post results a week after the commitment deadline is pretty annoying. I also emailed the department three times throughout the process with different questions and I never got a response either.

Economics, University Of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Ok this is RIDICULOUS. I haven't heard anything from UCLA, like no decision at all. But I just got an email from them saying "Thank you for considering UCLA for your graduate studies. Your online application has been received." Like, for lack of a better phrase, WTF????? They just received my PhD application submitted almost 5 months ago? This is just way too much.
