Graduate School Admission Results

I agree with the below post that they should have mention the deferrals. If they have a few seats, applicants should have known it because we spend money for these applications. UC Berkeley and UW also did the same thing, they didn't mention about the deferrals and now majority of the applications got rejection. I hope this will not be the case for CMU.

TTPB : Thanks! I did not know there were many deferals for ML. Thanks for the heads up. The website of the department had no explicit mention about it. Just saying, they should have mentioned these many deferals are already given to these many students....

All CSD offers are out? If I haven't heard anything, does it mean a rejection?

CMU undergrad here. MSML results will be out in a couple of days, but don't expect much due to deferrals, especially for international students - told by my advisor. Stay strong and apply next year!

TTPB: I dont think MCDS results are out. Since other programs have started announcing decisions, we can expect MCDS too to be announced sometime soon? Also, does anyone have an idea of the average intake for this program and the number of people who enrolled in Fall 2020?

Guys, should we expect MS ML tomorrow? Last Monday of Feb and it hey said it will be out in Feb. Also, all others of LTI are out. Only MLD is left.

Seeing the bloodbath for international applicants by UW Madison and UCB, I am reallyyy scared about CMU and Stanford CS decisions. Ugghh this is so terrible :(

Got into MIIS at 4.30 AM IST. Undergrad from a private university in India (8.9/10), three internships in NLP (2 abroad), 3 papers (1 first author), no GRE.

Disappointed. 4 internships (2 research-oriented + 2 industry). 1 publication in A-rank conference. No GRE. Average college. All the best to others who got admits!

Are the MS ML admits out or the 2 posted yesterday before the word vomit were real and NOT fake?

Rejected from MS AII. From a top 30 US school, low GPA, No research experience. Expected a rejection as my GPA is low, and there are only 30 seats available lol.

Applied to M.S. in Language Technologies program and got rejected on Feb. 11. No GRE, GPA: 85/100, two publications.
