Speech Language Pathology, University Of South Carolina Hi ladies!!! First, congratulations to all that have applied and gotten in! I am a second year at the University of South Carolina and got off of the Waitlist mid-May 2021, so don't lose hope! With that being said, my roommate and I are looking for someone to live with us in our 1 bed/1 bath studio house! It is a smaller "mother in law house" behind the main house and you'd have shared access with us to the main house :) The studio does have a kitchenette! Physics, Columbia University subfield Nucl-th, accepted from waitlist with formal letter expected to come next week. One piece of advice for applicants on WL, let your PI or admission committee know if you may access any external funding source. It is likely that you are well qualified for admission but the funding of the department is limited. They will probably help make you an extra offer of admission regardless the acceptance status of their current offers if your external funding meets their requirements!

Human-Computer Interaction, University Of Maryland Psychology background. 2 lab experiences, 1 HCI project experience, 1 product manager internship, 1 game production experience. My TOEFL score is not very high (102, speaking 25) and the portfolio was built in a hurry. The access record shows that the portfolio was visited many times.

Speech Language Pathology, California State University - San Marcos High GPA in both undergrad (4.0) and post-bacc CSUSM program (3.9). First undergrad was in education, worked in a high school and then corporate setting. Had four recommendation letters (didn't have access to them, but feel confident/had a good relationship with all professors), participated in every class, emailed professors outside of class for additional clarification. Did not have research experience or in the field experience but was hopeful my grades, recommendations, and enthusiasm would've made up for that. They did not. I was not asked to interview and I'm not sure if that was asked of everyone or just some they were wanting to speak with more.

Computer Science, SUNY Stony Brook Interviewed with the POI mentioned in the SOP on February 10. No GRE. B.Sc. in EEE from a top private university in Bangladesh. M.Sc. in EEE from South Korea's top national university. 3 years of research experience. 1 research article published in IEEE Access (1st author). Another one is in review (IEEE Sensors Journal, 1st author). 4 conference papers (two 1st authored), Offered TA ship and summer support (in the form of RA). Tuition fees and other fees are covered. 90% health insurance
