Generic rejection email. Expected, but still disappointing.

I'm still waiting for the result. Probably rejected, since I already saw someone got accepted earlier.... *tears overflowing* But anyway, to any one who is sadly and desperatedly waiting for the result, it might come out by the end of this week. Finger-crossed to all of us, and good luck to you all.

Ecstatic that I got in, but only with a $10,000 scholarship. The program is way too expensive.

Guys, can you please help me out with deciding which is a better school, UCSD or Columbia University for Materials masters. I aspire to get decent placement or continue with a PhD in the future. Which would you suggest minus the financial aspect. Any advice/suggestion would be much appreciated. Toefl : 119 Gre: Q167 V154 CGPA: 3.8

Moderate LORs, 1 publication(not top tier), 4 yrs experience in SW industry(not related to my field of interest)
