Please I need help. Is it normal to be invited to a campus visit without having being admitted first? The university pays for the flight, hotel and expenses. It's march and I have doubts

Dear internet stranger, you should not measure your level of "bangness" by which schools you were rejected from. It is a well-known fact that most schools choose reject applicant that are really "too good" for their program, knowing that they will definitely get a better offer and they do not want to waste an admission slot. You need to asses yourself very well and apply to those schools that are exactly right for you. In your case, I am pretty sure that you applied on a spectrum of schools which the lower end of the interval is schools that you are too good for. That means (by intermediate value theorem :d) that you will definitely get an acceptance from at least one school! Hold on tight! :)

Just a friendly reminder to treat the process and your offers with care! I just let go of one of my offers because as great as the program was, I knew it was not the one I'm going to attend. There are dozens of other applicants biting their nails, waiting to hear about acceptance/rejection. Trust me, I know how good it feels to hold on to offers! But it's actually a relief letting the ones you wont accept go because it makes going to a clinical program that much more real. If you don't post often, bring a sigh of relief to someone today and post an offer you let go or a program you chose!

Dear fellow applicants. I know these questions are rather broad but (1) what to do when waitlisted?, and (2) how realistic are chances of getting accepted in the end? I just want to enroll so badly and I don’t know how and whether I can enhance my chances of getting offered a place.

What's up with Waterloo? Are they done with admissions? Haven't had an update on my application since I submitted it late January and when contacted they reply "All applications submitted before the deadline are being reviewed". Does anyone have any updates?

Just here to gently nudge everyone who is holding on to multiple offers...if you know you're declining an offer, let today be the day. Please!!!!

I have received notification to proceed to portal. In DAAD portal application status is "Funding". Also received declaration of acceptance.

Just thought I share some positivity with everyone on this forum. Big congratulations to us all for making it this far. The biggest step was applying, and we did it. It is truly an honor and great achievement to have done this and place a lot of time and effort into this process. These forms are evidence of it. To those on the waitlist, like myself, the deadline is vastly approaching within hours. I truly hope the odds are in our favor, we end up where we are destined to be, and accept and understand why things happen the way they do. Congrats to everyone again and good luck!
