Wow... looks like we will be seeing a bunch of schools sending out their mass rejects before the april 15 deadline sadly...* :'(

I'm with you guys. Still waiting for Cornell, Brown, Duke, NYU. I heard that Duke uses implicit wait list, but for others we should assume implicit rejections.

I'm really getting sick of waiting. I applied to 12 schools and still haven't heard from 7. I'm getting more and more stressed everyday. It's getting harder to focus in class. I wish they'd at least communicate with updates but when I email them, I'm getting ignored. I don't think universities realize how hard this is for applicants. Must be nice.

To all the University of Chicago Posters, Are they releasing all social sciences (SSD) decisions today ?

I haven’t heard from texas a&m, mcgill, virginia tech and umass amherst yet. Is there any news from them? Are they done or?

Previous poster, did you see most of the Argosys are closing? Not sure if your school is affected, but I would assume so

Still waiting for Columbia, USC, UCI, and UCD. Is there anyone who know when the results come? Frustrating.

Hey guys, do you know how long it normally takes for the department to send the formal offer? I received an informal email about a week ago, where I was told I will be receiving a formal offer "shortly". Anyone else in the same situation?

For the poster below whose status when from Awaiting GAO approval to Application Withdrawn... you should call the relevant department to inquire what happened. Because the status of "Application Withdrawn" should only occur if you yourself as applicant have chosen to withdraw your application (see that scary little button the portal). If your application has not been successful at GAO stage, your status would revert to "Unsuccessful"... check on what occurred in your case, because it would be awful if you or some clerical error inadvertently withdrew the application in the final stages of the process. GAO stage is almost always a sure thing.

UPitt, Penn State or ASU? Any advice on those?

TTBP: You are not the ONLY ONE have no where to go or crying now. There are still chances you could get into some programmes in Europe. APPLY MORE and get accepted!

Guys and gals, this is my second time through the application cycle and I'm yet to receive any funded offers. I'm on some waitlists, but if I don't get in, I'm planning on reaplying for a third time. I'll do (another) Masters or something, and retry. Don't lose hope and most importantly, don't quit. If this is what you want, please don't quit. Endure what you have to endure. See you all on the other side. Good luck.

To the person complaining that they haven't gotten an acceptance yet: Relax. This is common. You need to have a backup plan if you don't get in anywhere. You will be seen as less favorable by the admissions committees if you're "too persistent" about your possible acceptance.

Rejections (implicit and explicit) from all the schools!! Tough year ahead :-/

Today is the deadline for most of the schools, if you have already decided to decline, please decline early today so that we have a chance too.
