All, University of Waterloo What's up with Waterloo? Are they done with admissions? Haven't had an update on my application since I submitted it late January and when contacted they reply "All applications submitted before the deadline are being reviewed". Does anyone have any updates?

All Majors, University of Oxford Hey guys, do you know how long it normally takes for the department to send the formal offer? I received an informal email about a week ago, where I was told I will be receiving a formal offer "shortly". Anyone else in the same situation?

Economics, All Schools Dear internet stranger, you should not measure your level of "bangness" by which schools you were rejected from. It is a well-known fact that most schools choose reject applicant that are really "too good" for their program, knowing that they will definitely get a better offer and they do not want to waste an admission slot. You need to asses yourself very well and apply to those schools that are exactly right for you. In your case, I am pretty sure that you applied on a spectrum of schools which the lower end of the interval is schools that you are too good for. That means (by intermediate value theorem :d) that you will definitely get an acceptance from at least one school! Hold on tight! :)

All, University of Cambridge For the poster below whose status when from Awaiting GAO approval to Application Withdrawn... you should call the relevant department to inquire what happened. Because the status of "Application Withdrawn" should only occur if you yourself as applicant have chosen to withdraw your application (see that scary little button the portal). If your application has not been successful at GAO stage, your status would revert to "Unsuccessful"... check on what occurred in your case, because it would be awful if you or some clerical error inadvertently withdrew the application in the final stages of the process. GAO stage is almost always a sure thing.

Clinical Psychology, All Clinical Psychology Programs To all applicants Fall 2019, Just wanted to say congrats to all that have been offered admission. I will personally say this was my second application cycle and I was successful. Don't give up if this is truly something you're passionate about. Perseverance and diligence pays off :)

I know these questions are rather broad but (1) what to do when waitlisted?, and (2) how realistic are chances of getting accepted in the end? I just want to enroll so badly and I don’t know how and whether I can enhance my chances of getting offered a place.
