GPA master's; Received generic email of rejection that "After careful consideration of your application, we regret to inform you that we are unable to offer you admission for Fall 2024. You have been a competitive applicant, but we have had many more competitive applicants than we have places and funding available." No interview, applied to sociocultural track

3.93 Undergrad, 4.0 Master's

Ignore status. Has anyone from archaeology track has heard back anything? The waiting is anxious.

IGNORE STATUS. Has anyone heard from Stanford about interviews for Anthropology? It's been radio silent about the program except one random post on the weekend about an interview and nothing else. Have they really sent out all interview invites/done with all interviews?

no email, just happened to check the portal. mediterranean archaeology track. 2nd rejection of the day lol. GPA is master's, undergrad was 3.83. i have 2 publications, 10 major national/international conferences, 3 years of field experience, and currently lecturing in archaeology at a university. they could have at least had the decency to email me.

Received the same email informing that I was not selected for an interview. This was my only interdisciplinary program, applied to Sociology for all others. 1a/1w/1r/4p

Message via email: "Our admissions committee has extended interview invitations to everyone we anticipate interviewing, and we have now received confirmation from all of them. We will most likely admit from this pool of applicants, but are not sending out final admissions decisions to applicants in case the committee decides to extend interview invitations to a few more applicants. We expect to send out final decisions to those who were not interviewed by March 1."

Please let the department know if you're not planning on attending as soon as possible! Thank you!

Received news I was accepted on feb.1 after a ten minute interview. Interview questions were simple and straightforward, get-to-know-you vibe. Spoke with faculty member in the fall about my interest in their program over zoom; I think that helped. Awaiting funding info---their funding does not appear to be very promising so I'm worried about that. But elated nonetheless about being accepted!
