English Graduate School Admission Results

Accepted along with assistantship offer. After getting into a few other programs, I had to turn this one down as I felt the others were a better fit. It was hard though, as this program has a lot to offer. The department is absolutely lovely in answering questions and is super kind!

Received email from the program about acceptance and funding assistance. Will receive formal admission letter from GS in a couple of weeks.

Does anyone know if there's been any movement in the literature waitlist? I have decisions to make but TAMU is my first choice

Ignore waitlist. Has anyone heard back from UKY? I'm still waiting for a response from their PhD program. And there is nothing updated here regarding their graduate programs.

Rejected off waitlist (2a/1w/9r/1p)

Just moved off the waitlist! The DGS emailed me this morning and let me know that a formal offer would be coming by the end of the week. I'm waiting to see the details of the offer, but I have a really good offer elsewhere so I may turn this one down. Hopefully that is good news to someone! 4a/11r/1p

This a very kind email from the director of the English department, saying that their budget was tightened in the past few years, so they are not able to extend Ph.D. offers to many excellent applicants. It seems this has happened a lot these years. Congratulation to those who were accepted!

GPA is MA. 0a/7r/1w/0p First cycle. 7 rejections. Last notification and it's a waitlist. Little hope that there'll be an acceptance here, but grateful for the smidgeon of hope regardless. Good luck y'all.
