accepted this afternoon! so excited

no email; i did my daily portal check. very cold, generic one sentence rejection.

I hadn't heard anything and was getting antsy, so I emailed the DGS. She was very, very kind in the rejection, and very quick. She emailed me back within a few hours. I'm pretty surprised, so I'm just sort of ready for this whole thing to be over. 2a/1w/11r/2p

Already received MA (4.0) and have >2 years of teaching experience

Emailed them yesterday and got the reply today. GPA is MA. If you hold an offer from PWL for the LTC program but are not going to accept, please let them know as soon as possible! This is LITERALLY my top choice and my last chance for the second round of application.

Ignore the "Waitlist" status. Has anyone heard from Purdue? I didn't see any acceptance or rejections from last year, and I sent an email but didn't receive any response from them. Do they really accept Ph.D. students this year? Does anyone receive an interview request or anything?

No email. Happened to check the portal which said: "Admission Denied". Sounded so final was expecting an error message sound effect. Second rejection of the day. We cool, we so cool. 0a/6r/0w/2p

Had an informal interview in mid-February and only got my results now. Honestly brutal. Them making me wait made it all the worse.

Well, it's over. Now on to funding applications. 1a/1w/6r/0p

After over a month since I saw people post responses from UMass on here, I emailed and asked if they had any updates. Was told, "I'm afraid that we still are not in a position to offer you a spot in our incoming class. Many students who were admitted are still deciding on their plans, and unfortunately many don't let us know until the deadline of April 15. If there is any way to let you know of a decision prior to April 15, I promise that I will be in touch with you." So technically a waitlist, but basically a rejection.

Didn't get into phd but got into MA
