Computer Science Graduate School Admission Results

Ignore Waitlist. Does anyone know when UC Davis will release remaining decisions? Did they even rollout a single reject? I couldn't find any rejects in GradCafe or other forums

TTPB: Great bro! I was in a similar situation 2 years back. NCSU vs USC. Got a waitlist email in April I suppose and told to wait till May end and got a reject in June. Ended up getting remaining courses only as I didn't pay deposit till the end. Ended up paying almost 450$ for a shared room in Raleigh where one could find shared room at $250. Was not able to fin roommates for almost half a month. And lastly, ended up paying almost 90k for flight ticket.

Thanks to the seniors for giving a heads up to move on for now. I was checking gradcafe since past few days and all I could see was move on. A very big thank you to all of them. I started with visa process already. I checked for roommates for other university and found almost 90% people already had their groups ready and told me to wait until they fins extra space. In last 3 days I asked like 50 people and the answer was the same - "We already have a group". Lucky enough to find a guy, now we both have to find people and then search for apartments. This is gonna be a task :(. Could only imagine the situation if I would have waited till June. My advise to everyone, don't just blindly wait, it's already high time now. You might end up screwing your other admit as well. Getting admit in June and then upto 3 weeks time to get an i20. There aren't any slots for visa and delaying the process will fuck us more. Emergency slots won't open in full capacity.

TTPB: Way to go buddy. I am one of those applicants whose only hope left for this fall is USC, a big shout-out to every single applicant like you who has/will let go of USC for higher ranked Unis, you'll all be thanked immensely if an applicant like me gets into USC after being waitlisted. A high-sounding virtual Hi-five:) from me to all of you.

Was waitlisted like everyone else but already accepted offer to much higher ranked/prestigious program. Emailed them to let them know to withdraw my application from the waitlist. I hope those who's only hope left is USC get the spot. Good luck

A sincere and humble request for the people who are accepted and not planning on attending USC. Please surrender your seats back so that people like me who are counting only on USC will have a chance

TTPB: I'm exactly in the same case. My application is also reactivated from the last year's one and it's in the old site. I never get any notification or responses from them even if I contacted them so ask about it. I don't know what happens now. Btw, have you updated any of your application?

TTPB: Totally agreed! They're waitlisting students around mid may? Seriously? They've been doing this for years. I'd put it this way, this waitlist shit is just so that people don't move on from USC. They've waitlisted everyone till 1st June and gave the deposit deadline to the admitted students as 2nd june, then what about the seats left after 2nd june? They'll again waitlist. I'd suggest please don't blindly wait for USC till June, they release admits in June and July as well. Start with the process of other university. This cashcow won't spare a single dime!

So, usc is playing waitlist game again. Last year they sent ke mail somewhere around April 30, that I've been waitlisted and would receive a decision by 20th May. Still, I got a reject on 16th June. This year too, they've kept the decision deadline as 2nd June, then how tf are they planning to give decisions by 1st June? And if they are sure of the seats, they should might as well roll out decisions now!!! God forbid this cashcow! Won't advise people below 9.3 to apply over here

Waitlisted. GPA 4.14/4.5 (rank: 4th/180) . After 4 months their first response is I have to wait more. F**k you USC. I'm going to a higher rank univ
