English Graduate School Admission Results

Accepted off the waitlist with a lovely letter and a competitive offer. However, I think I am unlikely to ultimately accept.

I did not receive any notification about a decision, I'm worried that the deadline to accept other schools will pass. I tried calling them but the line just rings for 3 minutes, then hangs up. Has anyone heard anything or sent an email?

TTPB: Thank you for sharing this! May I know what is your research area? And were you in the Upper bracket of waitlist previously?

Got a email detailing their strong consideration for me for their Phd program, they weren't sure if the spot would be available due to funding limitations. Accepted another offer, hopefully opens up some space.

Was accepted back in February, but just received my official offer for another school (to which I've committed). I'm a Romanticist. Hope this opens up a spot for someone on the waitlist.

TTPB, If I may ask, did you get an official rejection from the school? Or did you mail them for update?

Declined my offer and am hopeful someone will find their home at this school, seems like a great program.

Totally floored! From nothing but rejections to two acceptances in two days.

This program didn't seem to have much in the way of recruitment. A couple faculty spoke negatively/unfavorably about the institution which turned me off. Hoping someone else finds their home here as the program structure seems expansive and self-directed.

Got a PDF letter in an email saying I was put on the "First Waitlist" and it's on a field basis.

Got a super short letter (email indicated to check portal) saying I was rejected. I think it was maybe 1-2 lines and read as a template. Not mad at all, best of luck to others

Had a poor interview experience, specifically with POI who seemed distracted and at times dismissive. Definitely made this decision feel like the best outcome for me.
