GPA is MA - accepted off of the waitlist! don't lose hope!

Didn't expect to be waitlisted, which is a great news! I have to notify whether to accept their acceptance by April 15, assuming that some admitted students will not accept the offer.

PLEASE PLEASE decline if you have been offered funding and you are not planning to attend. I am waitlisted for funding and UH is my first choice. PLEASe decline if you are not planning to accept their offer. I'm too stressed.

so disappointed, nyu was my top choice, they took four months to replay with rejection!!! might apply next year, but I'm worried about asking my professors for a recommendation letter again. did any of you have an idea how can I have all the rec letters in one platform so I can submit them to whichever university I want in the future?

I was the poster who was anxious about results. Absolutely ecstatic obviously! Got a lovely email from the department yesterday with some funding. Can't wait!

The last decision had finally been received. I'll be taking at least a year off to reevaluate the need for a PhD. 0a/1w/8r

Received an email from the Grad Division and the English grad director. To the person below, I was informed that acceptances will be notified by email via FileDrop and rejections via postal mail; you should hopefully be receiving word back soon. Best of luck to you!

GPA is Master's. Received an email from the GPD welcoming me to the program. Portal changed to “decision ready” about 24 hours after that. I'm excited about this program and plan to accept.

Expected. Applied to the sequential MA without GRE scores.

This is an update to the results I previously shared. On March 30th, I was officially rejected from the PhD program after making the waitlist. Although I was devastated, the department recommended me for the master's program, and based on my strong record, they offered me the Dean's Scholarship. Although this wasn't the outcome I've been working toward, I've decided that I'm going to accept the offer because it's still a positive result. I feel like I can still make a strong academic and professional impact with a master's degree, and regardless, I am still proud of all I've accomplished so far. :-)

I have waited many years to receive an acceptance to a PhD program.

Accepted into Masters instead of PhD, with Dean's Scholarship. Will be declining.

They said they're waiting on funding information to see how many students they can accept with funding, they're gonna know by the end of the week and send out acceptances their hoping next week, so information will come soon, denied the offer due to having already accepted a more lucrative offer, hope that clarified things some more
