Philosophy Graduate School Admission Results

I contacted the department to inquire on the status of the application and this is what I received: "We remain in the process of reviewing applications, though we have made our initial fellowship offers and are awaiting replies for those and we have also notified all those who are currently on our wait list." I guess the ones who have not received anything yet, like myself, should consider their applications as rejected. Good luck with the rest of applications x

Email ended up in my spam box. It stated that all the slots for this round were filled and that they do not anticipate any changes.

Rejected from waitlist. Only funded 3 students this cycle. I'm out of the running now at all 15 schools on my list. 2020 is the never-ending year of catastrophe.

Originally received someone else's rejection . . . then five minutes later came mine.

I reached out to this program multiple times with no response. I finally got a response (on deadline day) stating that I have been rejected.

Did email and got this in reply: "You are not currently on the waitlist, and we do not presently anticipate expanding the waitlist." I believe the same message has been copied-pasted to other people. Why not just reject?? Beats me. Disappointed. Such a bad professional behavior, and it's supposed to be a top school.

Ignore interview: I too haven't heard back from UCLA. Such bad practice. Someone please write to Leiter to publicly shame them!

Anyone on the waitlist heard from UIUC? I know some people have declined, but I haven't heard anything

I am an emotional wreck and a ball of anxiety right now waiting to hear back, oh please baby Jesus, make it end!
