IGNORE WAITLIST: Does anyone know when one should expect results for the MA at CUNY> The deadline is tomorrow which seems super late

Important news for those still waiting to hear on waitlists: in these instances, no news is often good news. 99% of the time, programs will notify you in some way if they do not think they will be able to accept you. If you have not yet been rejected off of the waitlist, there is a chance you may be admitted, probably on the 15th (this applies especially if you have been waitlisted at a ~PGR-25 program and up). The 15th is ALWAYS a shitshow, maybe more so this year due to the pandemic. ALSO NOTE: if you have not contacted the DGS at the program where you have been waitlisted, now is a very good time to do so (be polite, but ask about your chances and when you can expect to hear back).

hi all -- this is a long shot, but if anyone else is thinking about declining stanford, I would really really appreciate it! stanford is my dream program that fits perfectly with my interests. none of the other programs I've been admitted/waitlisted at have faculty working in my interests at the intersection of epistemology, mind, language, and history of philosophy over the past hundred years, but stanford has many professors I want to work with in these areas. if I don't get into stanford this year, I'm going to have to reapply next cycle. I was also born and raised in the bay area, and going to stanford would mean that I can stay near my family and close friends, which is especially important to me during the pandemic. my mom lives alone, is in her 60's, and doesn't have any family nearby, so I want to stay close to her as long as I can. if you decline, I can't express how much I'd appreciate it!

An email to notify checking the portal. Out of waitlist, intially high but not 'very high' in the later cycle.

Received an email saying "very high on the waitlist". Just received an email notifying status change. Portal status changed to "rejected".

Off the waitlist. Will accept.

i'm sure the point of this survey is not to i) make sarcastic unfunny posts about the waitlist that are borderline classist/racist or ii) express whether you are glad at any certain point (hot take but enjoying someone else's misfortune is pretty negative..)

Does anyone who was accepted to the program and was offered funding know their plans to accept or not? Thanks.

I am on the waitlist for financial package. If anyone received the financial package from UNT and is not planning on attending, I beg you to decline soon. My family and I are trying to make it work financially but we need that package. Trying to take care of my elderly mother in law as well.

Please decline your offer from UCSB! Would totally be okay with a cohort of 1 if I could just get off this waitlist!

To the post below: I am not on the waitlist, too. I guess hope might extend April 15th, but of course, decreasing as time goes by. I am informed by the DePaul philosophy department that the philosophy faculty have made their first-round decisions. Those applicants have until April 15 to respond. After that, the faculty will go out to their second-round decisions and so forth until all places are filled. Hope that most people who are accepted to DePaul have better alternatives!

To the poster below, unfortunately I believe they only extended 1 or 2 offers and people have already accepted. I am not on the waitlist and have not heard from them, so am assuming most us will simply be rejected. Buuuut we still have 5 more days of hope?

Has anyone on the waitlist at DePaul seen any movement yet?
