Cosmology/HEP Theory/Computation open to CMT (claimed in SoP)

Applied to AMO physics. Two summers of research in AMO, one 1st-author paper submitted. Obviously, I am not good enough to get into U of Toronto.

UC's should say that we just want your money. After that, we are going to reject you if you are an international student.

TTPB: I was told by my POI that they are not yet done with sending out offers

TTBP: Sure! I had an interview early Feb. M.S in planned field of research, 3 strong LoRs, 1 submitted paper as first author (but not at time of application). Informally I've heard they have a large number of astronomy students and the department has placed priority for other sub disciplines. Based on my inquiry, first round offers have been sent out, so I suspect astronomy acceptances (unless one or two were already made) will be sent out if their is a second round (which hopefully there is!), alas waitlisting limbo till then. Best of luck in all your offers other person!

To the poster below: What is indicated in your Admission Decision?Waitlisted? I was admitted without funding info and told to wait until 17th April, but I havent received anything yet. Actually it is the same as being Waitlisted.

To the posters below - I was admitted for gravity theory and condensed matter theory (I'm still undecided between these two fields). I mentioned Cheung and Ooguri in my SOP for gravity, and Refael and Alicea for CM.

@the Irvine poster below. I contacted them last week and received the same reply. I don't think there will be an update anytime soon as they go on spring break next week. What's your field of interest? Mine is hep-th/astro.

So far, I still do not receive anything from UCR. Do they forget me? If anyone knows, please tell me. BTW, if I get the admission in this condition, in generally, how long should I reply my decision to committee?
