HEP-ex, had a skype conversation with a PI which went very well and even met another one in person. Surprisingly, all the places where I had good contact with PI(s) have rejected me and vice-versa. Anyway, already have better offers.

Indian engg student shifting to CME. A project in simulation and then in a low-temp lab. No pubs. Decent gres.

My girlfriend and I have been trying to get together for the last six years. After having failed miserably in the past, this is our only hope to make a future together. To all the waitlisted and accepted candidates at georgia state university, if you have a better choice or an option of going with a university at par with this one, I urge you to consider taking that option. Out of all the common universities we applied to, this is our last hope! Thank you :)

I emailed admissions last week. Was told applications were still under review... UCI appears to be on Spring Break now.

Waitlisted first, 3 years of research experience with two International publications ( one with first and corresponding author), two year Undergrad level teaching experience, Masters degree with 76% cgpa...

Applied for the SwissMAP fellowship in mathematical physics/string theory. Told I am on the shortlist and offered a skype interview. Also, they sent everyone on the shortlist a set of problems to solve in 24 hours as part of the application process. Definitely the weirdest application I've ever been through.

Accepted for the Master's, interview for ESOP on February 11th

Unofficial acceptance from POI on 12th Jan.

I applied for hep-ex. But most likely I'll drop this offer.
