University of Southern California Graduate School Admission Results

TTPB: Couple of days back, I talked to one of the Viterbi Staff. It was all random....they said being waitlisted partially means that to let you know that your application is not forgotten. I don't want to read between the lines but it seems like they got a lot of applications this year and they just waitlisted everyone whose application they couldn't reach/read. Now, this may not be the truth but this is what I feel.

TTPB: Still waiting for decision after being waitlisted. I honestly do not have high hopes at this point, and I guess we will have a huge wave of decisions after the 15th. However USC seems to be pretty generous with extensions. Also, I can imagine there are not a LOT of people left who have not responded about to their admissions decision yet. Either they accepted a better offer, or just took USC (maybe with a deferral) at this point.

TTPB: Yeah I guess ppl who got accepted have to decide by 15th June. Till now I only heard 1 CS student to get off the waitlist. I guess we all gonna hear the news after 15th June. Because that's the time I think they will sit and decide the final decision. Honestly speaking chances are not looking great :( There should be some movement till now.

To those waitlisted, did anyone get their results back? Admitted students are supposed to choose their options by 15 June right?

I just declined the offer for ADS fall 2020. I hope the poster below can be admitted soon.

TTPB: I read that article and as much as I try to cushion myself for the reject my hope still exist. I know someone last year who got waitlisted for fall and got spring. She was quite optimistic when I told her. Let's hope that we get to know the decision soon. *Crosses fingers :)

Just wanted to know whether anyone for Applied Data Science program got admitted off the waitlist? Also, I find this year's application process so different...Do they really require a waitlist? I thought USC had some no waitlist policy.

Waitlisted on May 21st. Just got an email a couple minutes ago telling me to check youSC. Got admitted to Fall 2020. Thank god!

Accepted without scholarship. Will probably decline and go to Boston University for way less and be able to do more research

Waitlisted as well for whatever reason. Took them way too long to communicate this decision that has been probably made weeks ago. Keep your fingers crossed guys, good luck to all of you!
