TTPB: I was also waitlisted on 22nd May. Still no news. I am glad someone is still there with me on the same boat. I see such stellar profiles getting rejected from this university . I have zero hope! The painful part is that they didn't even reject everyone at one go. At this point Closure is very important for one's mental health.

Waitlisted on May 22nd. Was hoping to get Spring admit, but glad didn't get in. TTPB: Guys don't waste your money on USC, it is NOT worth it. The administration at USC is corrupted and they spend most of their funding on their upper level admin staff. Employers don't care about education anymore, you can find all the coursework online for free.

I just wanted to ask the people who heard from USC today, if they were also waitlisted on the 22nd of May. I was waitlisted on that day and have not heard anything from them since.

To all the rejected ones what are your cgpa's?? just wanted to know because i am also waitlisted.

I got the email at 1:00 PM IST. I spammed them like a thousand times and even called them to get the status. Try emailing them to check your status.

TTPB: I am so sad for you. At the same time glad you guys finally got closure! I haven't still heard the news! I want this to get over so badly! Can you guys tell me when you guys received the notifications! Anyone still waiting?!

Wtf. Screw USC, I choose lambda school instead.

USC MS program is a cash cow. It's not even that good. They make a shit ton of money from international students and I heard students struggle to enroll in classes because they are always full. Don't waste your hard earned money on an education that is available online for FREE. I reject you USC.

Any applied data science student got rejected/accepted? I haven't received the notification yet! Seeing the rejection waive I guess it will be same for us.

Thought I'd be getting a spring admit. Guess I won't be in debt anymore.

Got waitlisted in May, the wait was too long and after all this waiting, I got this email.

I did say not to read between the lines XD But there is a probability. Also, waitlist letter is so vague and the lack of clarity of it, one cannot determine the outcome. Some say waitlist is a spring admit and there are other rumours like USC doesn't even maintain a waitlist. I have spent the past couple of weeks researching about it and there are wild waitlist stories. In the end, the outcome has the same probability as the toss of a coin. You got to wait through it...no one knows anything. For me closure was accepting the defeat and keeping hopes all time low. I have one weakness in my profile that can be a deal-breaker. If you have some weak points in your profile, ask yourself, Is USC willing to ruin their stats just for you? If the answer No, you know very well whether to wait or not. In the end have strength fellow, I know it is difficult but we can't do anything. Best of Luck ;)

TTPB: Thanks for sharing that. So that means, they just basically waitlisted everyone who could not be properly reviewed up until end of May? Or in other words, even if you're waitlisted, there is a chance that not a single admission committee has even seen your application file and "waitlisted" could simply mean "not reviewed yet, but hey we didn't forget you"?
