Chemistry, Stanford University 3.5 year intense org chem research from a top lab in a top US public school . will have one high impact pub. Stanford is not strong in my area..very surprised they rejected me. so whatever, I m going to Princeton, basically one of best places for organic chemistry. but Cong. on those who got in!

Computer Science, Stanford University Applied to HCP. 8 years work experience, Strong GRE, Good LOR. Have MSEE from UCLA, going for second part-time MSCS. Accepted by USC, waiting for GT. No Research papers. Had a average GPA at UCLA (3.3) but good UG GPA. No idea what kind of superheroes they are looking for.

Statistics: Data Science, Stanford University Top tier Indian Research Institute, Undergrad in Mathematics. Two publications in ML (AISTATS ) and three under review, Good LORs, not so good GPA. Got rejected via a generic email.

Electrical Engineering, Stanford University To the poster below: CS department says they select the top 20% applicants to have an interview and decide admissions among them. Does anyone know whether EE department goes through the same process? How much top percent does they got interviewed? I guess there is not as much as 20% applicants interviewed posted on gradcafe.
