Graduate School Admission Results

To the person asking about setting up SUNet: if you go to the 'grad admissions - admitted students' website (just type that into google, preceded by 'Stanford'), all the instructions are there. It should work with the University ID which you were given. If not, maybe send your department an email informing them it doesn't work? I did the above and it's all up and running, so it should work for you too! Hope that helps :)

Said they'd consider my application for the MS program, though I don't think I indicated my interests on my application (did I??). Withdrawn for the MS, have a bunch of PhD offers elsewhere. (Optimization & Stochastic track)

I applied to Stanford too but haven't heard anything either! (structural track). POI said decision are usually made in March/April

The universities must have a competition between them on whose rejection emails are more generic.

I was told I would hear in a few days after the interview, but I didn't hear for two weeks. I emailed them and they responded telling me I was rejected; ~30 minutes later, I received a formal rejection letter. If you haven't heard anything, I recommend emailing them just to avoid waiting further!

To the post below: I don't know what those early offers suggest or their FA type. I honestly would be happy just to receive admission. Earlier last week someone's post said a prof told him there would likely be a delay. Assume that's true, now I wonder if more offers have been made after the early offers. Finger crossed.

Got an email from Student Services Manager that I wasn't approved for either PhD or Master's (Computational Social Policy track). Not surprised for PhD, but was hoping to at least be considered for Master's. Oh well. Congrats to everyone who got accepted and good luck to everyone!

Ivy League undergrad. Decent GPA. Decent GRE scores. 2 years of research. 1 journal paper. 1 conference paper. 1 workshop paper. None first author. 2 very strong LORs (I think). 1 okay LOR. Interested in ML.
