Just email Prof. Cohen and he will tell you everything about the status. (Extremely frustrated about the result because it seems that the "active consideration list" is truly a waitlist and I held the expectation for nearly two months !!)

just declined an offer from Maryland. I haven't received any words on funding until now.

Email that I was not accepted. Was invited to transfer my application for free to the terminal I/O MPS degree. GPA is from dual masters. 0a/6r/0w/3p

NOT AN INTERVIEW. Has anyone else checked on their app status in their portal? Now mine has an application ID number, I'm a little confused as I thought it wasn't ranked, am I reading into it too much?

TTPB: Could you please mention who you corresponded with? Was it Prof. Cohen?

To those who are under active consideration and who are not, you guy will all receive rejection within a few days. I just emailed a professor who in charge of the admission and was informed that the final round of offers were made by Monday, meaning that if you haven't received any response, you will be 100% rejected. It's actually hilarious that this process took such a long time. Also, I was on the active consideration list and was told that a significant amount of offers would be made in Late March. But it seemed that very few were given, it turned out umd was kinda pranking on us ！

References submitted February 23rd, email to check portal 1:30am March 31st, unconditional offer - hadn't expected a decision so quickly!

I mailed them asking about the status of my application. They replied by informing me that they will not be able to offer me a place in the program for fall 2021. Informed me that they have received over 220 application and they plan to take 10 students or so.

TTPB: As someone who did not receive any news from the UMD, I am wondering the same thing. You at least have a (slim) chance and was informed of that. I don't understand why they couldn't reject me and others like me until now.

Heard nothing since the interview. Emailed the program and no response yet. Anyone received an offer? Are you going to accept it? This is my last hope, thanks a lot!

Surprised accepted this late - already accepted an offer elsewhere, hopefully it opens a spot for someone else! Good luck to those still waiting! So you know, I got a likely letter a while back. If you received one but still have not heard your results, there may still be hope?

Email directed to application portal for decision letter. Two sentence rejection.

Notified by Graduate Admissions Coordinator after I emailed them. Portal has updated from “Under program review” to “under graduate review” still no letter of acceptance

Rejected off of waitlist

I hate to be this person but has ANYONE heard from this MSt program at all??? It's been radio silence still after 12 weeks since the deadline and I am very confused
