Computer Science, University Of Maryland, College Park Ignore waitlist. Does anyone still waiting for PhD result for UMD? It feels like there is no hope because we are almost at mid-April. But at least a rejection mail would solve everything. Is there still hope or should I give up hope?

Mathematics, University of Maryland Global Campus Could you decline your offer at Maryland if you do not plan to attend? I was told by the director of graduate studies that I was on the first group of consideration on the waitlist, yet they did not have enough declination from applicants to send out a second round of offers. This can help students like me a lot. Thank you very much!!!

Sociology, University of Maryland Global Campus (3.89 major GPA) UMD was my second choice after Cornell. However, after the egregious lengths I had to go to in order to receive my decision (2 emails one month apart and 1 call), they went to the bottom. It is absolutely, 100% unprofessional to keep applicants waiting for their initial decision until 9 days before the commitment date. Insane. Do not apply here.

Sociology, University of Maryland Global Campus IGNORE THE WAITLIST. Has anyone heard from Maryland regarding their application? I, quite literally, feel like I'm stuck in limbo. I haven't received an acceptance, rejection, or a waitlist. What gives? Is anyone else in this situation?
