Ignore WL. Am I the only one who hasn't gotten a response from most universities posted here? Do you think that means that I was rejected? Thank you.

Ignore waitlist/ to anybody that received acceptance from waitlist from any university. How much time do you have to make your decision and decline/accept offer?

Jesus, how are some of you so insufferable and elitist? We're studying economics, not curing cancer. Get over yourselves. Congrats to everyone who got in this cycle, that is an achievement to be proud of. Don't let obnoxious internet users ruin your day.

TPB: If you are going to MIT, then it beats me as to what the heck are you doing on this forum anymore. LRM or HRM institutions, it doesn't matter, those are their achievements and could be helpful to report here for others. And if people were getting unemployed by going to LRM institutions then those programs wouldn't even exist in the first place with funding, my dude. But again, congratulations on MIT. Might I suggest that you revise your demand, supply theories, and IC curves before your program starts? And before you go off calling me illiterate, I am going to NYU.

FYI this forum is not a good place to help you form incoming students groups, urch is probably a good place or reach out to your program directly to get a student list. Please stop with these posts as well as where you have accepted offers, it's pretty annoying

I personally know several students who are/were holding more than 2-3 top offers until few hours ago. These feed back in a domino to lower schools. Don't lose hope yet!

What happened to the schools that are not sending their results to the waitlisted applicants till now. At least they should send out rejections

Finally accepted my lowest priority school since the four schools waitlisted me are radio silence. Glad my cycle is finally over, but I wish i got rejected already by those four schools. good luck every one. this is a sh$$y cycle for sure.

(not WL) Who is that annoying guy always asking about GRE and TOEFL scores? In the assessment of your profile these scores dont count so much, it is more relevant your experience as RA, grades and recommendations, Those scores are only cutoff.

If you are still holding multiple offers, please decline them ASAP!! It's already the 15th and there's still no information from multiple colleges

At this point, how reliable is the message that says "the top of the waitlist"? It seems that some departments sent out such message to almost everyone : (

I already accepted an offer but today received an email that I am on a high rank on the waitlist, Never got response before!! Is it okay to renege the offer? Serious advice please

There is no reason or excuse to hold onto offers anymore, unless you're waitlisted at a more dominant school. PLEASE TURN THEM DOWN

I have received this note from one of the departments of UCSD. Does that mean a rejection? Please give me a message at moh.arzani@gmail.com :) Admissions decisions are still being finalized, and we will notify applicants when a decision is made. If you have offer deadlines coming up, you should make your decisions based on the offers you have received. We wish you all the best with your graduate studies

Please use Urch in the future. And it is def okay to renege if you get an offer. You are facing economists who mostly do optimizations one way or another. They will understand if you want to go to a better place... Also i think you don't even need to get a formal release from the first program anyway. There was a rule change signed by all schools in Fall 2019.
