TTPB: It is official, here is the top of the email: The faculty of the Department of Statistics is pleased to offer you admission to the doctoral program beginning in Autumn Quarter 2021-22.  Congratulations!  You will be among a cohort of about 11 new incoming students. TTPB: Congrats! Do you know if this is an official offer? I heard from a current PhD student that results would be out next Wednesday...

TTPB: thanks for sharing all the details! In the past some people have been admitted without interview, but it sounds like this year interviews are necessary then?

TTPB: About the timeline, one faculty member my friend got interviewed said it will come out early next week About the stat, my friend also mentioned that it's in the final stage of interviews. Around 18-20% people have made it to the final round and 5% people will get an offer, which means if you get to the interview stage, you have 28-30% chance of getting in. I transformed the specific numbers I heard into ratios so the numbers should be reliable. That's all I can tell for now :)

Guys, should I start preparing for Fall 2022 applications?

Hopkins Marine Station. Expected rejection. No follow up from the advisor after initial email correspondence. Didn't have a face-to-face interview. Applied anyways because of perfect match of research interests. Nevertheless, it was a reach.

3 interviews to come. 1 already sent from POI. Excited!

Has anyone heard anything from Stanford TOM? Have they interviewed yet? Seems unlikely that they haven't released their shortlist even till now.
