Received notification to check online portal that stated a decision had been made. No financial support from the program as of yet. Letter stated funding might manifest in the future. I had strong letters of rec from my masters degree program director (who knows my future program director well), also graduated top of my class from my former masters degree. My GRE scores are not competitive as I only took it once as a baseline. Undergraduate GPA was average. I intend to accept and carry forward with self-funding with long-term hope of funding from the program. We shall see of this, but regardless I am looking forward to the fall. |

Rather a surprise; 3.5 undergrad GPA in electrical engineering, master's degree in computer engineering; some research, contacted director of program, and he seemed very interested. I did get accepted into other schools with higher standards and more stringent criteria, but it seems that my area of interest is not in high demand there. |

No funding at this time, but was told TA positions will be decided during the summer. Took 3 months for them to tell me yes, they expect me to have an answer in 2 weeks. Coming from out of state, considering deferring for a year to get in-state status. |
