To the Michigan CS Master's admits: are your admits for the MSE or MS program? When did you folks apply?

AMO ex. Please consider declining the offer to open up space if you are no longer interested.

Surprised by this as it was my ambitious option. Undergrad GPA 3.2 from Top 20 CS departments. GRE - 324 (Q-164,V-160). Good SOP, recommenders personally knew POI, likely a back door entry due to my horrible GPA. Good undergrad research experience with 2 pubs.

Just been informed that I'm waitlisted for the ALC PhD. If any person accepted is going to reject the offer and go somewhere else, please please let me know. Will be very super grateful as I really want to go to Michigan. Also, TTPB who got into Master's at ALC: congratulations!! Were you interviewed in February? Hope we get to meet at Michigan (if I make that is)!

3.78 GPA, No GRE, Strong LORs and SOP. Got an email saying that I will get an official letter soon.

Accepted into English/WGS track; Rejected from Language and Literature track Undergrad GPA 3.3 in Spanish Literature and World Language Ed at a school ranked in the 60thish percentile (according to usnews) MS GPA 3.6 in Secondary English Education at same university MA GPA 3.8 in Literature and Cultural Theory with a WGS Graduate Certificate at same university I failed student teaching Spanish in undergrad and again in my first master's degree. I also failed my first master's project. Made up the project retroactively in MA. Briefly discussed history of poverty and mental illness in personal statement as well as an openness to a possible future in alt-ac career. 3 Letters of Rec, one about pedagogy-related strengths, two from relatively famous scholars. I hope this gives some of you underdogs a little hope. I'm still shocked.

A polite, generalized e-mail rejection citing numerous applicants this year.

Internation US BA from liberal arts school. Accepted via e-mail. Below average GPA. Did not submit GRE. Strong recommendations and personal statements. Interest matched very well with the faculty advisor. Strong GIS and remote sensing research background.
