1a/6r/2p... Such an insane cycle! Congrats to those who have been accepted!

I applied to two separate programs: Literature and Language and the joint WGS/English. Still waiting to hear from WGS/English, though I'm not optimistic as they only choose 2 applicants for this track. Also was/is my dream school.

1a/9r. My sense of admissions this year, aside from bigger pools and fewer slots, is that committees played it really conservatively. I'm guessing if you don't have a direct connection to faculty then chances are much lower. I'll be really curious to see how future years play out what with all the changes this year.

Short email informing me that out of over 300 applicants I was rejected

Got an email. That puts my at 0a/6r/4p Guess I'm just not competitive. Any advice on people being accepted?

rejected to my dream program. Waiting on Austin but it looks unlikely now, so expecting a shutout. Really not surprised but so so disappointed— I know they checked out my academia.edu a few weeks back and got my hopes up a bit. 0a/0w/7r/1p

I have a bachelor's degree in architecture and a solid experience. Surprised that I was rejected, but it was not my primary choice!

TTPB: Love your idea! Big brain time: can`t get rejected if you never open the decision mail. Everybody gangsta until someone shows up for the class without hearing back. Let`s raid UMich?

If I don't hear from UMich tomorrow, I'm just going to assume I'm accepted by default and show up in the fall.

Got notified by the program via email on 01/26/2021 that I had been "recommended for admission" and then was officially admitted by the graduate school on 2/10/2021.
