Undergrad from a top 5 IIT. 1 conference paper + 2 in submission. Great GPA and projects, but no work experience. Congrats to those who got in.

Interviewed on Jan 22-23, rejected by new faculty member with whom I'd applied

Hi everybody. One important point is that there is a chain when someone rejects an offer. Say that person A is admitted both at MIT and Harvard. When A rejects Harvard offer, person B who is on the waiting list of Harvard is picked up. As B is now accepted in Harvard, he rejects his Stanford offer. This chain can potentially continue to very low ranking universities. Therefore, it is genuinely helpful if those who are admitted at high ranking universities decline their less preferred offers. Thanks in advance and good luck to everyone in the rest of the admissions process.

Was notified by e-mail. Rejected for the second time. I waited an extra year to improve my profile but I guess it didn't work. I atleast expected an waitlist.

Generic letter of rejection

Received an email from the architecture graduate department notifying me of my acceptance + fellowship offer. Got the official acceptance through the portal a couple days later

ttpb: thank you so much for sharing that info. Today, I suddenly got an email from my PI saying "the control group will meet in the next few weeks to discuss all the candidates and good luck". So, I don't know whether it means anything or not...

ttpb: The PI's initial is KS. What do you mean by a vague email?
