to the poster below - I am waiting on a response too. no interview either...is an interview required for admission? Does anyone know when they are expected to release decisions?

Sent them email enquiring about the status of my application, got rejection in reply.

Emailed to check status and they got back that I was not accepted. Good luck to whoever is still waiting!!

Has anyone heard anything of the CS PhD admissions?

To the previous post, the website says that the first admits/rejections are handed out in February, and if you have not heard anything by March then your application is still being considered :) I guess there is a waitlist?

To posts below, still waiting for MS&E as well. Called few times and they said application under review, and the review normally takes 6-8 weeks.

Does anyone have any clue when are they going to give rest of the decisions? I had my interview on March 15. People with interviews later than me have been accepted. Does anyone has an estimate when they give final decisions/re-directions? April 15 is approaching!

I'm still waiting. Today is Columbia's university-wide Data Science day so I bet DSI staff are busy with that for at least today. Also, stay optimistic—rejections AND admits have been going out at the same time over the past few days; not everything will necessarily be a reject at this point.

Still waiting for a response from Columbia. It seems acceptance letters have been sent out March 10 and March 17 / 18. They also promised on the website to respond by third week of March... Anyone else still waiting?

MSc from SFU with 4.20/4.00 GPA. Worked with a prof. with UBC affiliation during MSc. Focusing on bioinformatics string algorithms.

I still have not heard back from Columbia for Spring 17... I have a few q's for the community: 1) I see only one person has posted a result (rejected). Is that really it? Has anyone who checks grad cafe heard ANYTHING? 2) I am goin nuts here feeling like there is no where to get info on when I will hear back, is anyone else going cray from this suspense?!?!?! 3) I saw someone said below that "they" said we'd hear back by mid november. who is they?
