To the poster below with the bioanth waitlist--did you happen to interview with Michigan? Also I wish you luck getting off the waitlist! :)

A very kind email about small class size etc. to be expected in COVID times but encouraged to attend waitlist events in March.

Received an email from the head of the department this morning after being interviewed a few weeks ago.

Did anyone else receive a decision from Michigan?

UM had a really difficult situation with admits this year as they had to cut the entering class by half, they made it clear that they wish they could admit all interviewees. Going to hope for the best here (this is my first choice), but still grateful I was considered at all.

I checked the portal and the decision was viewable. Surprised because the POI seemed very interested, but not too disappointed as it wasn't my top choice and the fit was questionable. Wishing opposite news for other CUNY applicants!!

Can applicants who will have their interviews tonight tell us how their interviews went? Especially, the kind of questions that the committee asked? It is nerve-wracking. Even a little bit of help can go a long way :(

Pretty bummed about this one since the department was such a good fit for my research interests, but congrats to all who were accepted! I'm wondering how big the cohort size is this year?

Contacted a faculty member at UHM who spoke to someone familiar with the anthropology application decision timeline. The committee said they hope to have everything wrapped up by the end of the month so expect a notice in the next few weeks. Best of luck everyone.

Received an email from the graduate coordinator without prior interview. Would be ecstatic if admitted off the list.
