Graduate School Admission Results

(arch sub) Wait listed... can't say I'm surprised. I had some great talks with a prof in the department, however, they did inform me that the entire anthro dept only accepts ~4 intl students a year. Congrats to everyone who got in!!

If you are not planning on attending, let them know! It's one of my top choices and I'd be absolutely thrilled to get in off the wait list.

So absolutely elated, this is my top choice! Still waiting to hear about funding decisions, and have one more school to hear from. I think I will accept, but only funding will tell. Also, my portal was never updated, even at this point, so don't rely on those too much y'all!

The whole process from submission to decision took approximately 2 weeks

I'm shocked. Tons of research experience including an NSF grant in undergrad.

Was told it was very competitive despite being a good fit. Seems like very little people got in.

Honestly was not expecting this.

I had a 20-minutes interview with two POI on January 29th! They will make the final decision within three weeks!

Really thought it was a good fit. Guess not.

Got notification to check portal, standard reject message. No interview. Not a huge surprise given fit (I'm kind of in between psychological/medical and biological). Connected with several POIs early in the process who encouraged me to apply, one (initials AN) mentioned this year they would have to accept a smaller cohort so congrats to those who are still in the game! It's a tough year!

I was really hoping to get in. But I guess not! I have Master's in Archaeology outside USA with 3.75 GPA equivalent grades
