Electrical And Computer Engineering, UC San Diego (UCSD) Got a mail from the ECE dept. Recommended for admission to Grad. Dean's office. The email also had an official letter and funding info ( Tuition + GSR). They have asked me to give a reply by 15th April. First acceptance. (Track: Computer Eng. in ECE dept) Really excited!!!!! Profile: Top 7 IIT Grad. , Decent CG:8.5( Had really good grades in Dept courses and also did dept. Honors), No publication, 2 Years Company Exp(Startup in the same research field), Final Year thesis also in the same field. GRE: 325, TOEFL 104( Don't think these 2 matters, but just act as a qualifying criterion).

Computer Science, University Of Southern California CS undergraduate from UToronto. 1.5 years of research experience with 1 second-author paper under review. Submitted before the Dec. 15 Deadline. Asked to pay a $500 deposit to secure the spot if intend to go. Not sure if I'll accept though... Still waiting for UCSD, Brown, and Columbia.

Electrical And Computer Engineering, UC San Diego (UCSD) TTPB: I am the same guy(ai hardware) who had the interview with POI. He sent me a mail saying he has put in the paper work for giving the official offer. He said due to spring break the process is slow. He said he will be giving me GSR( RA) offer. So I am expecting an official offer this by next week.

Computer Science, Brown University Two IEEE conference papers. GRE: 325 AW:4.0, TOEFL:105+, GPA:3.95+/4.3, some research experience, and some projects. I still do not hear anything from UCLA, UC-Irvine, UCSD, and USC. Also, I only get admission offers from Purdue and Brown. Therefore, I guess I will accept Brown's offer.

Electrical Engineering, Columbia University [ignore interview] TTPB: I have not heard a squeak from columbia, either through my portal or email. Total silence. Pretty sure this means rejection, but I would just like to hear back. I also haven't heard from CMU, USC, and UCSD (despite getting invited to their open house :| ). I assume this means rejection for all of them, but man can't they just let us hear something!

Computer Science, University Of Massachusetts, Amherst TTPB: I can understand how you might be feeling after getting a rejection. But, with this attitude, calling other students mediocre, you are never going to reach any where great. There might be always some reason for you to not get an admit. Having A* papers do not guarantee MS admits. I have been accepted to CMU and UCB PhD, but rejected by UCSD.

Economics And Public Policy, Imperial College Business School Just declined a fully-funded offer as they don't have any macro profs at all. Good luck to anyone waiting to hear back. Structural Engineering, UC San Diego (UCSD) MArch + work experience in architecture and tech. Interview went well. Applied for SHM track. Recommended for PhD, accepted to MS. No funding, so may need to defer by one year to save more money. Super excited to be an admit. Dream school.
