Hadn't heard anything about my application despite it nearing the April 15 deadline. Emailed and finally got back "If you haven't heard from us, it means that you have not been selected for admission at this point. Limited additional offers may be possible, but not guaranteed." Extremely unprofessional, but unfortunately doesn't seem uncommon. I know these aren't easy decisions for departments to make, but I wish we were treated like human beings throughout this process. |
