Computer Science Graduate School Admission Results

Not Waitlist. ttpb, check your spam folder, all the results for Masters in Fall 21 is out already.

Canadian Undergraduate (Domestic). 3 years of TA experience, course-based masters. Checked Quest and see I can accept. However, I have not received a letter of acceptance yet.

NLP track

It is the 3rd week of April and almost all universities in the US have sent out their decisions. But Columbia, in spite of being an Ivy, has not yet sent out all their decisions. It reveals utter mismanagement in processing the applications. Columbia should understand the problem of the applicants who are still waiting for the decision.

[TTPB]: Hi, just curious, but how can you say that ML/CV rejections have been sent out? was something mentioned in the email sent to those who received a rejection?

Wtf PSU is doing. Can just give out results and let us live peacefully. What a drag.

TTPB: Most acceptances are sent out end of March. Probably rejected. The May 1 date is just a formality.

"Admission to the CSE department is extremely competitive. Each year more than 900 applications are received. Approximately 50 students are admitted in the fall semester, and an overwhelming majority of funded applicants are Ph.D. students." - PSU EECS website. Afaik, about 25 admits have been given already, they send decisions up to May second week.

TTPB: Can you please share your stats? I honestly don't know how competitive PSU is. Also, do you know what the intake of the program is and how approximately many admits have been sent out? Thanks a lot!!

MSCS (Scientists and Engineers)

Looks like they rejected pretty much everyone. Damn deferrals. :)

Pushed up from the waitlist. Got the offer literally the day before the decision deadline. Will work under prof Qi Sun.

Why are the EPFL results delayed so much this year. Did anyone write to the university about the delay?

Was really hoping to get in. Pretty upset about this.

Randomly checked the website. Denied admission

Finally accepted. 1st author of the single paper, 1 year of research experience, 1 year in industry, a bunch of industry certificates. 2a/1p/9r, still there're some UCs pending even after the deadline with radio silence at all. Good luck everyone.
