Did anyone recieve a PhD admit for Parallel computation

Congrats to all candidates who got admits! Very unhappy to see that people with much better research ac*men getting rejected! Seems like intern*l recommendations play the main game in CS grad school applications in the US. Its so unfair and similar to nep*tism. In the end, this will only affect these universities' research and ranking. Candidates who got rejected, dont lose hope. You have something better coming. Your research ability will make you glow much better in the future. I got rejects from UTCS, Stanford, CMU, UW, Cornell. Undergrad from tier 1 institute in my country. 3 Very strong letters. 3 papers. 1 nips and 2 first author papers. 4 research internships at tier 1 institutes in US and my country. Semester internship at top class industrial research lab.

To the poster below, those stats are from last year. The admit percentage seems even lesser this year.

Applied to theory. Two pubs in progress, fairly strong LORs. No word on NSERC CGSM.

Majored in CS in undergrad, 2.5 years of experience full time working in finTech. 158 in GRE math because i only had less than a month to prepare after getting lay off as the company went under... I am devastated

Email from POI about potential internal funding sources. Online app still says under review. Assuming this will be an acceptance.

TA Fund

30 minutes non-technical interview related to the university and my interest in the Ph.D. program. POI said that she will accept me. I had emailed her after submitting the application. We had email discussions, related to projects, before the interview. Masters GPA: 3.67, 8 Publications (1 Journal, 4 Conference, 3 Posters), 1 Patent, very strong letters of recommendation. Lots of teaching experience, talks, and presentations. One year of research experience in the industry and one year of experience as a developer.

To the poster below, when did you made your application? and have you talked to a supervisor before or, during your application? I made application in January and yet to hear from them.

I am one of the two fellows below that reported a "Rejected" status and I am the same guy that posted the email sent by the department requesting to re-take the GRE... It seems that minimum GRE is very important for these guys
