Physics Graduate School Admission Results

Actual waitlist. Told in response to me inquiring about my status, after hearing nothing and several other failed attempts to learn my status from the department.

At last. The way they delayed sending rejections has seriously bothered me. This was the last decision I was expecting, so my watch has ended. Only one admission out of nine applications, all in physics.

It's about time. I feel bad being so negative, but this whole process has left such a bad taste in my mouth.

About time! I've already accepted an offer from another university, but it's definitely been frustrating not having heard. I'm still waiting to hear from one more. (eyeroll)

(Not waitlist) TTPB(Mcgill physics):They might make some offers off the waitlist towards the end of April. The professors haven't been responding to emails (hep-th), so it's hard to determine exactly how many offers will be made. I guess we just wait patiently.

Admission committee has considered your application and, unfortunately, did not find it strong enough to be admitted to our graduate program. Thank you for your interest in our graduate program, and best of luck in your career pursuits.

Ignore Waitlist. Does anyone know if all the acceptances/waitlists have been sent out for CMT?

I had not heard anything from them since my interview until March 31. POI contacted me saying I had been on the waitlist up until now and they wanted to make an offer if I was still interested. Will attend! He said they will finalize admissions and send out the final rejection letters later this week.
