Economics Graduate School Admission Results

Did interview yesterday.

Former international McGill student, non-honours economics but have quantitative background. Received notification that initial offers have been released so I presume I am waitlisted. No GRE, no CV submitted. 2a/1w/0r/0p.

Just withdrew from these two schools where I had fully funded offers. Good luck to all. And if you have dominant offers, please consider doing the same.

Please Please Please do not hold to multiple offers and do not decide on April 15th. The deadlines for European institutions are usually sooner and your decisions will affect the future of many many international students.

Does anybody know what is the class size that Columbia is targeting? Did they give any details about this during the virtual visit?

Applied to combined MPhil + DPhil. Heard nothing for ages so chased up by email and told I am rejected, with official rejection coming soon. But off to a top-10 instead :)

I didn't see anyone posting about Columbia. Has anyone heard from them? Really want to go there so appreciate it if those who have offers but don't want to go can reject them quickly!

Can any kind person please share what was written in the emails after the 'top candidate' email a couple of weeks ago? A comment on a post below mentioned that those who haven't heard since then is at the bottom of the top 50%, can anyone confirm this? Brown is my last hope, so the silence is deafening :(

I got tired of waiting and I sent an email inquiry. They answer that all acceptances and waitlist students were notified, so I should be rejected. However they will send the notifications later April. Fuck them
