Assumed rejection also, no invitation to interview

I talked to a professor in Harvard who said that the general understanding is that all offers have not been sent out yet! More to come! Good luck everyone!

Interview for Particle Exp. Notified late afternoon 1/22. Will be a 2-on-1 interview with two profs mentioned in my SOP. 2 Years in particle exp. research at a national lab. 1 summer REU in related particle exp. 3.81 undergraduate GPA from renowned program.

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone is reapplying to Harvard for Fall 2021? If yes, then can you please tell me what your rejection letter said for last year? I saw mine for Fall 2020 and it said this... "After careful review, I regret to inform you that the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences is unable to take favorable action on your application to the Program in Economics. The number of promising applicants well exceeded the number of offers of admission we can make for the 2021-2022 academic year. I know that this decision comes as a disappointment. Unfortunately, enrollment of new students is limited to a small fraction of those who are qualified for admission. I want to assure you that your application received full consideration by faculty members in the program to which you applied. We appreciate your interest in the Graduate School and wish you success in your future studies." Did everyone else's say the same thing? If so, do you think they accidentally posted Fall 2021 rejection letter on the wrong application? Thank you for your time and help. Have a great day!

received email from PI saying that due to covid-related budget cuts in combination with him accepting 3 students last year he could not offer me an interview

TTPB: That makes sense. However, can you tell whether you have received an email regarding the follow-ups or it was based on the discussion? Has there been any subsequent follow-up/interview?

3.86 GPA, just under 2 years of undergrad research in a chem bio lab and got uni fellowships for research, didn't send GRE scores due to COVID, 3 good LORs, currently working at a Biotech company. Was notified about scheduling interviews the week of February 8th and told "We find it important to interview each of our top-ranked candidates before making decisions on admission" but after seeing acceptances for F21 before then I realized I'm not necessarily a "top-ranked candidate" for them LOL. I'm prepping for the grilling in early February.

Yes. There are a couple of things as followup, but nothing too indicative of the decision yet, and I'm not sure if it's appropriate to share this info currently.

To the students getting the interview call at Harvard on 19th, did any of you get any information on the next steps? Any further comments from poi?

TTPB: As seen from grad cafe in 2020, someone wrote that he got accepted without interview. Also, in 2020 the interviews continued until approximately Jan 25. However, the admissions if somebody gets admitted, he will notified in early February. In contrary, the rejections come at late February (all this information can be seen from grad cafe 2020).

Yes, I believe the interviews are finished. However, I have no clue whatsoever if someone can be accepted without an interview.
