Graduate School Admission Results

Received an email that my application will be pooled with the applicants from the 2nd interview weekend in February (I interviewed last week), then a decision will be made. A little disappointed since they were very clear they would accept 90% of us, so now I'm wondering what got me into the bottom 10%. Hopefully some positive news will come my way soon!

two JACS 1st author (one just submitted). GPA 4/4. Have heard that Harvard CCB took too many students last year therefore very little spots this year. Not sure if it's true.

TTPB: Can you tell which concentration you applied for? Did the email come from a POI or the program coordinator? thanks !

The email mentioned that they're doing rolling admissions, so more acceptances should come as some people decide to go elsewhere

Was emailed to check portal and on the portal there was a short and generic letter stating that they could not make favorable action on my application. I appreciate the fact they seemed to send it out for everyone at the same time though.

Receieved email to check the portal, not suprised because Harvard has only admitted three black students in the last 5 years, got into my top choice, but still annoying!

Received email notification of status update. Continuously conducted research at PUI during undergraduate. Interest in inorganic catalysis. In no way surprising, and got in at a couple of other amazing programs. Best of luck to everyone!
